When you press the Volume + button and power button simultaneously, you will enter into a mode with options like –

This is not the recovery mode you’re looking for as there is no option to download latest firmware or recovery. To boot into eRecovery, make sure you have connected your device to a power source and then press the Volume + button and Power button at the same time.
