As we all know, EMUI 8.0 is the Huawei’s latest custom skin based on Android 8.0 Oreo OS. The update is already rolling out to most of the Huawei / Honor smartphones. Of all devices, Honor 8 is also in the list of eligible devices to get EMUI 8.0 update. By this time, most of the users might be eagerly waiting for the update.
At the time of the EMUI 8.0 announcement, Huawei confirmed that Honor 8 will be upgraded to EMUI 8.0 and Android 8.0 Oreo at some point. But, a few weeks later the company takes back the word and says there will be no further updates for Honor 8 due to hardware incompatibility issues.
In fact, Honor has done every possible thing to make us believe Honor 8 can’t be upgraded to Android Oreo. Today, there is news which turns the rock around. Most of the Honor 8 users reportedly see an Oreo-based firmware using the company’s Firmware Finder program.
Both the models, frd-al00 and al10 receive it in firmware finder. This means users can soon expect Android Oreo-based EMUI 8.0 OTA update for Honor 8.
