Google announced the latest version of its mobile operating system, Android 10 back in September 2019. Since its debut, many OEMs have been busy rolling out the update to its eligible handsets. Of all, Huawei also impressed with its Android 10 rollout plan. There are over 33 Huawei and Honor models that have been upgraded to Android 10-based EMUI 10 software. The latest model to get the EMUI 10 support is the Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro. Check here to download and install EMUI 10 on Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro.
To make you clear, it is still EMUI 10 public beta update while users need to wait some time for the stable rollout. Huawei sub-brand Honor already introduced the EMUI 10 closed beta recruitment for Honor 9X and 9X Pro back in December 2019. So, these users with firmware version v10.0.1.113 will be directly upgraded to the latest version i.e. v10.0.1.118.
The EMUI 10 public beta recruitment is live for Honor 9X/9X Pro with models HLK-AL00, AL10. If you own any of this model and wanted to experience the new EMUI 10, then you need to manually apply from Pollen Club app > Forum > 㗊” in the upper right corner > EMUI Zone > Upgrade early adopters. On the computer side, go to Pollen Club ” https://club.huawei.com > “Blocks”> “EMUI Zone”> “Upgrade Early adopters”.
Once the application is successfully accepted, you’ll receive the Android 10 update via OTA on your Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro. It is mandatory to report bugs and issues if any as the developer team will make necessary improvements before the stable release.
Honor 9X (Pro) EMUI 10 Beta testers can submit feedback by heading to Pollen Club App > Forum > EMUI Zone > Upgrade early adopters > Public beta release notes and problem collection navigation post.
EMUI 10 is a major upgrade over EMUI 9.0 bringing features like a new UI design with a magazine-style layout, an enhanced dark mode, Morandi UI color system, improved security, and more. It also brings a desktop mode similar to Samsung’s Dex as well as revamped icons, animations, and wallpapers.
