Last week, Huawei announced its newest flagship series devices which include the Huawei P40, Huawei P40 Pro, and P40 Pro+. At the same event, Huawei also unveiled its upgraded version of EMUI skin called the EMUI 10.1 (Magic UI 3.1). The EMUI 10.1 is still based on Android 10 and comes pre-installed on the newly P40 lineup. Now, the Chinese telecom tech has revealed the rollout schedule of EMUI 10.1 internal beta testing for Huawei and Honor devices.
According to the Huawei Club post, a total of 35 Huawei and Honor devices are confirmed to get the EMUI 10.1 beta update. However, it is worth important to note that these devices may be first to receive the EMUI 10.1 update, while it is expected that more devices being added to the list in the coming months. This list is also exclusive for the Chinese region, while the EMUI 10.1 beta rollout schedule for other global regions may be revealed soon.
The EMUI 10.1 (Magic UI 3.1) internal beta testing for Huawei and Honor devices will be followed by a public beta testing. Once, the ROM is bug-free the stable build will start rolling out via OTA.
These 35 devices will be split into four batches, with the first already being underway. Here is the detailed roadmap of the EMUI 10.1 update-

With the absence of Huawei P20 and P20 Pro in the above list confirms that the company has demoted the series. That means the EMUI 10 was the last major OS upgrade for the Huawei P20 series.
Talking about the features, the EMUI 10.1 comes with Multi-window support, multi-device control panel, and multi-screen collaboration. EMUI 10.1 also includes MeeTime too, Huawei’s answer to FaceTime. Another highlight of the latest EMUI version is the ‘Celia’. It is Huawei’s own Voice Assistant replacing the Google Assistant.
