Currently, Huawei is working hard in developing the latest generation of EMUI skin i.e. the EMUI 11. However, it’s still a few months for the official release but this doesn’t keep the Huawei users away from the new features. The Chinese telecom giant has announced the EMUI 10.1 skin which adds several new features and performance improvements. This newly EMUI 10.1 update is already released for several flagship smartphones in China followed by a few of the mid-rangers. The company also released the update for various models outside China. Now, the European Huawei Mate 30 Pro model has started receiving the EMUI 10.1 update.
EMUI 10.1 for Huawei Mate 30 Pro brings the EMUI version 10.1.0.236 and weighs about 4.34GB. As the update size is pretty heavy, it is recommended to download the update package via Wi-Fi. This helps to save mobile data and avoids interruption while downloading the firmware package.
As usual, the EMUI 10.1 update for Huawei Mate 30 Pro is pushed via OTA in a phase-wise manner. So, the arrival of an update to one’s smartphone in Europe varies from region-to-region. One can also manually request the update via Settings > System & updates > Software update > Check for updates. Alternatively, the Mate 30 Pro users can also take the help of the Support App (HiCare) for requesting the EMUI 10.1 update.
The changelog includes all the new features of the EMUI 10.1: we talk about the Multi-Window, the new animations for unlocking, the news for Always-On, and the new Celia voice assistant from Huawei. One can start using this voice assistant by using the hotword “Hey Celia” or by holding the power button for a second. You can also check the list of EMUI 10.1 Features here.
Apart from the Huawei Mate 30 Pro, there are four other Huawei models that have already upgraded to EMUI 10.1 in the European region. These are the Huawei P30, P30 Pro, P40 Lite, and MediaPad M6.
