Huawei on its Club Huawei forums has officially announced that the EMUI 10 Beta program is live for the second phase of smartphones. This includes the devices namely Huawei Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, Mate RS Porsche Design, P20, P20 Pro, Mate 20 RS Porsche Design, Honor 8X, and Huawei Nova 5 Pro.
Currently, the EMUI 10 beta update for the above-listed devices is meant for Chinese variants only. Sooner, the same program will be expanded to the global variants in the coming months. If everything goes well during the EMUI 10 beta update, we could see the stable update happening as early as Q1 2020.
Last month, Huawei is already up to the mark by rolling out the stable EMUI 10 update for the first batch of devices as promised. The list of Huawei and Honor smartphones already upgraded to EMUI 10 stable firmware are Huawei P30, P30 Pro, Huawei Nova 5T, Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 X (4G), Mate 20 RS Porsche Design, Honor 20, 20 Pro, Honor V20, and Honor Magic 2.
It is really good to see Huawei pushing the latest Android 10 update for its smartphone in-spite of ongoing trade-ban in the US. According to Huawei, the Android 10-based EMUI 10 OS is already installed on over 1 million devices across 26 different models. This number will dramatically improve in the coming months as Huawei yet to roll out the stable EMUI 10 update for a range of smartphones.
