New EMUI 10 update for Huawei P30/P30 Pro brings December security patch, bug fix for no sound during calls

Huawei P-series smartphones are not only popular for their performance but also well-known for their solid cameras. Huawei P30 and P30 Pro are Huawei’s camera-centric flagship smartphones for the year 2019. Both the devices receive regular software update which brings the latest security patch and bug fixes. Following the trend, a new EMUI 10 update is rolling out for Huawei P30 and P30 Pro.

The latest software update for Huawei P30/P30 Pro brings the version EMUI 10.0.0.178(C185E8R1P3). It weighs 4.52 GB in size and brings the latest December 2019 security patch.

There were issues users experiencing since the last EMUI update. One of these was no sound during a call. EMUI developer team has recognized this bug and fixes it with this firmware update. The latest EMUI 10.0.0.178 update for Huawei P30/P30 Pro is rolling out via OTA in batches. It will take some time to appear on each and every device. If you own the device, then you can manually check the update from Settings > Software update > Check for updates.

To remind you, the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro are powered by Huawei Kirin 980 SoC and runs on Android 9.0 Pie-based EMUI 9.0 OS out of the box. The Huawei P30 comes with a 6.1-inch display, up to 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, and 40MP+16MP+8MP camera setup. On the other hand, the P30 Pro offers a 6.47-inch display, 8GB RAM, up to 512GB storage, and 40MP+20MP+8MP camera setup. Both the devices feature a 32MP selfie camera and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
