Huawei has officially announced that the latest Android 9.0 Pie based EMUI 9.0 is officially released for three of its handsets – Honor Play, Honor 10 GT, and Honor V10. The update is currently available to users who are residing in China that too limited to only 20,000 users for a time-being. After that, Huawei will roll out the Android 9 Pie EMUI 9.0 update to each and every user in China and the global market may follow soon.
In the last couple of months, Huawei and Honor added several of its devices to Android 9 Pie EMUI 9.0 beta testing program. With a satisfied beta testing results, Huawei already rolled out stable Android Pie update to its high-end smartphones lineup. Today, three more devices including Honor Play, Honor 10 GT and Honor V10 gets EMUI 9.0 Android Pie update. All these devices received beta update earlier last month.

In order to download & install the latest Pie update, launch the “Member Service” app and click on “Service”. Next, you need to click on “Upgrade Early Adoption” option and then select “One-Click Upgrade”. That’s it! If you’re eligible for the update, then you will automatically see the Download button on the screen. However, there are only 20,000 slots made available for users. So, you need to be really fast in order to get this Google’s latest Android update on your device. It is also expected to see Huawei opening up more slots of users in the coming days, but we aren’t sure about that.
This limited beta testing mainly perform to find out bugs and issues present in the software. Once done with the testing, Huawei will starts rolling out stable Android 9.0 Pie EMUI 9.0 update via OTA to Honor Play, Honor 10 GT and Honor V10.
The new EMUI 9.0 brings several new features and performance improvements over the EMUI 8.0. Some of the top features of EMUI 9.0 includes better Full-Screen display, Computer Mode v2.0, wireless universal screen projection through Miracast, HuaweiShare, one-click screenshot, new password manager, and several AI based features.
The EMUI 9.0 update also brings the GPU Turbo 2.0, a quick follow-up to the well-celebrated technology that Huawei has brought to the industry. It sports better gaming performance, new app assistant, and a wider list of latest game support including Vainglory, Arena of Valor, Rules of Survival, NBA 2K18, PUBG and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. On top of this features, the update also brings Android Pie based features including Navigation Gestures, Adaptive Battery, and more.
