Huawei releases regular software updates for Huawei P30 and P30 Pro since its initial launch in March this year. Every time, the company introduces new features to both the devices. First, the company introduced the DC Dimming feature followed by Dual-View Video, AR Measure app and more. Now, Huawei is rolling out another software update to Huawei P30 and P30 Pro which brings the Night Mode for the front camera.
The latest EMUI update for Huawei P30 and P30 Pro brings the build number EMUI 9.1.0.193(C00E190R1P21). Although the flagships come with great camera ability, this new update further improves the camera performance.
The EMUI 9.1.0.193 update brings the Super Night Mode support for the front camera which lets you take more brighter and more detailed selfies in the low-light conditions. It’s worth noting that this isn’t quite the same as the long-exposure Night Mode you find on the rear camera setup.
In addition to the camera improvements, the upgrade also integrates the latest August security patch and a video editing feature in the gallery app. It also brings improvements to the in-display fingerprint sensor, and support for the funky Huawei x Gentle Monster glasses for the enhanced gaming experience.
Currently, the EMUI 9.1.0.193 update is rolling out for the P30 and P30 Pro devices in China. It is scheduled to reach other global markets in the coming weeks (via GizChina). The size of the OTA file could be hefty, so make sure there is enough internal memory for installing the update.
Nice to see Huawei lavishing attention on P30 and P30 Pro users with frequent and substantial updates. I only hope they will show similar consideration for their earlier flagship device Mate 20 Pro. In my experience as an Indian Mate 20 Pro user, even Security Updates take an inordinate amount of time to be released. Even though the device is excellent, a totally satisfying experience for the user is possible only when updates and upgrades are released in a timely manner. Sorry to sound critical but I hope you will be able to take it in the right spirit.
