Huawei, the Chinese telecom tech is already rolling out the EMUI 9.1 update to a range of its devices. The latest device to get the EMUI 9.1 update is the Honor 9 Lite. Yes, the Honor 9 Lite users in India reportedly receiving the stable EMUI 9.1 update via OTA.

It seems the company has skipped the EMUI 9.0 version and directly rolling out the latest EMUI 9.1 update to Honor 9 Lite. The update is about 3.04GB in size and will reach each and every device anytime soon. The update bumps the firmware version to EMUI 9.1.0.112(C675E4R1P4). Currently, the Honor 9 Lite users will model number LLD-AL10 getting the update. Other models are expected to get the Pie update in the coming days. However, the EMUI versions and update size may vary depending on the market.

If you’re an Honor 9 Lite user, then do follow these steps to check the update manually – Settings > System > System update > Check for updates. Alternatively, users can also request the EMUI 9.1 update via HiCare app.

Earlier this month, Huawei announced that it has successfully updated 80 million devices to EMUI 9.0 and promise it to reach 100 million by the June-end. To achieve this mark, the company has started rolling out the EMUI 9 update to Huawei Mate 10 series, Mate 9 series, Mate RS, Mate 20 Lite, P20 series, P10 series, and Nova 3 series. It is expected that the Honor 7X and Honor 9n will soon join the list.

To remind you, the Honor 9 Lite was announced in December 2017 running on Android 8.0 Oreo OS with company’s customized skin EMUI 8.0 on top. It is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC coupled with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB storage. It sports dual rear camera and a 3000mAh battery.
