Currently, Huawei is recruiting EMUI 9.1 beta testers for its second batch of Huawei and Honor devices. It was made official by Huawei itself through its Weibo account. Alongside, Huawei also announced the list of its devices to get the EMUI 9.1 beta update under the third batch. There is no official date announced, but one can expect the release happening in the coming weeks.
There are 10 Huawei and Honor smartphones confirmed to get the EMUI 9.1 beta update. The names of the devices include Huawei Mate 9, Mate 9 Pro, Mate 9 Porsche Design, P10, P10 Plus, Nova 4, Nova 4e, Nova 2s, Honor V9, and Honor 9.
Like always, the EMUI 9.1 stable update will be released first to China followed by other global countries. A total of 49 Huawei and Honor devices are confirmed to get the EMUI 9.1 update.
EMUI 9.1 is a major upgrade over EMUI 9.0 bringing several new features and performance improvements. Apart from colorful wallpapers and themes, the new version of EMUI brings the EROFS file system for faster system performance, GPU Turbo 3.0 for the better gaming experience, Car Key, new Voice Assistant, OneHop file sharing, and more subtle tweaks.
