Yes, this is great news! Huawei and its sub-brand Honor has officially announced the list of smartphones to get EMUI 9.1 update. Just a week back, we have shared the expected Huawei and Honor phones to get EMUI 9.1 update and today, here is the official list with support for more models. The EMUI 9.1 update is based on Android 9 Pie and brings several new features and performance improvements. An updated icon design, refined gesture controls, a new file system, and a more optimized performance are some of the highlights of Huawei’s latest EMUI Android skin.
EMUI 9.1 was launched with the Huawei P30 Pro, and the update has begun rolling out to the Huawei Mate 20 Pro and Huawei Mate 20 X. Now, through a Weibo post, Huawei has listed out 49 devices which are expected to receive this update.

EMUI 9.1 – Top Features
The latest Android Pie-based EMUI 9.1 skin brings the GPU Turbo 3.0 technology for smoother gaming experience and improved battery performance while gaming. As per the company, GPU Turbo 3.0 cuts down on SoC power consumption by 10% and optimizes “the underlying system performance to provide a continuous gaming experience.” Furthermore, the number of Android games to utilize this latest GPU Turbo feature has been increased from 6 to 25.
New Voice assistant, Vlog for easy editing, OneHop for file sharing, Car Key, AR Measurement, Phone Clone, and One Touch are some of the new features of EMUI 9.1 ROM. You can also check the complete list of EMUI 9.1 Features here.
Coming to release date, Huawei still has to announce the timeframe for its latest EMUI 9.1 update. As the Huawei Mate 20 Pro series received the update pretty soon, it is expected that other models will follow soon in the coming weeks.
