Honor 10 EMUI 10 (Android 10) Stable Update – Download & Installation

Since the official announcement of EMUI 10 at the Annual Developer Conference in August 2019, Huawei is in the role of pushing the stable update to eligible smartphones. According to the reports, the EMUI 10 is already installed on over 50 million Honor and Huawei devices consisting of 30+ models. The latest model to get the Android 10-based EMUI 10 update is the Honor 10.

Huawei’s sub-brand Honor is rolling out the stable EMUI 10 update for Honor 10 in China. Alongside the Honor 10, three are two more devices namely Honor V10 (Honor View 10) and Huawei Nova 4 which also getting the same treatment. Currently, the rollout is happening in the home country i.e. China but it will not take much time to reach more regions in the coming weeks.

Coming back to the topic, Honor 10 Android 10 update pops-up the current version EMUI 9.1.0.337(C00E333R1P1) to EMUI 10.0.0.156(C00E156R1P4). The update is about 4.84GB in size. Being a hefty update, it’s advisable to use Wi-Fi connectivity for downloading the firmware instead of mobile data.

As usual, the update is happening via OTA in batches. One can see the notification prompt asking to download and install the EMUI 10 update. If the OTA is taking time, you can always download through the HiCare app.

The EMUI 10 also has improved software enhancements including GPU Turbo technology improving graphics processing by 60%, while Link Turbo lets smartphones access multiple networks like 4G and WiFi to provide 70% faster network speed. Alongside these goodies, the update also integrates the latest January security patch to the device.
