Honor 10 Lite EMUI 10 [Android 10] Open Beta update gets rolling [HRY-AL00, AL00a, TL00]

Good news for Honor 10 Lite users in China! Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has started the EMUI 10 open beta registration for Honor 10 Lite aka Honor 10 Youth Edition in China. This gives the option for users to download and experience the Android 10-based EMUI 10 ROM before its stable release.

EMUI 10 update is limited for the Honor 10 Lite users who have registered for the open beta program. After registration, users will soon receive the testing version of EMUI 10. The open beta program is also the last stage of ROM testing before the final version is rolled out. So, one can expect the EMUI 10 Stable ROM OTA update in the coming months.

The Honor 10 Lite Public beta version 10.0.0.132 is now available and is being pushed to the user who successfully registered for internal testing on October 19, 2019. To participate in the EMUI 10 beta program, make sure the device is on the version EMUI 9.1.0.226. You can manually check the version from Settings > System > About phone.

The following models are eligible for the beta update:

  • HRY-AL00
  • HRY-AL00a
  • HRY-TL00

Also, there should be enough free memory (up to 6GB) to download and install the Android 10 update. Moreover, you need to perform a backup of all your important data. This will helps to restore if any mishap occurs which is very uncertain if you follow the update procedure carefully.

The EMUI 10.0.0.132 update brings a new magazine page layout, Morandi interface color tone, refreshed camera application, Dark Mode, and much more. You can check the detailed changelog overview here.

To remind you, the Honor 10 Lite made its official debut in November last year running on Android 9.0 Pie with EMUI 9.0 on top. It is the toned down version of the Honor 10 featuring a 6.21-inch display, Kirin 710 SoC, and 4GB/6GB RAM. It comes in two variants: 64GB and 128GB internal storage which can be expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card. It has a dual rear camera with a 13MP main sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. The Honor 10 Lite offers a 3400mAh battery and a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel.
