Honor India announced a new budget smartphone and the successor of Honor 9 Lite dubbed as Honor 10 Lite at an event in India yesterday. The device was first announced in China back in November. The company claims that it has sold over 1.5 million units of Honor 9 Lite and wants to repeat this success with its successor, the Honor 10 Lite as well.
The Honor 10 Lite comes in Midnight Black, White, Gradient Blue, and Gradient Red colors, is priced at Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB RAM version and the 6GB RAM version costs Rs. 17,999. The device is exclusive to Flipkart and Honor India online website and purchased starting from January 20th midnight. Additionally, the Honor 10 Lite also comes with Jio cashback worth Rs. 2,200 and an Rs. 2,800 Cleartrip voucher as launch offers.
The Honor 10 Lite comes with a 6.21-inch FHD+ Dewdrop display with a droplet-style notch in India. The screen resolution reads 1080×2340 pixels and the pixel density is 441ppi. It comes with a TUV-certified eye care mode helping to reduce the blue light effect and also the facial ID recognition feature to unlock the phone.
On the camera department, there is a dual 13MP + 2MP camera setup in the rear while the selfie camera housed under the dewdrop notched is a 24MP sensor.
Under the hood, the Honor 10 Lite is powered by an Octa-Core Kirin 710 12nm (4 x 2.2GHz Cortex-A73 +4 x 1.7GHz Cortex-A53) with ARM Mali-G51 MP4 GPU. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie OS with company’s own EMUI 9 skin on top.
As far as the connectivity is concerned, Honor 10 Lite has dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, 3.5mm audio jack, GPS/ AGPS, and GLONASS. A 3400mAh battery provides juice to the device.
