Huawei’s sub-brand Honor announced its latest mid-range Android smartphone dubbed as Honor 10 Lite at an event in China yesterday. It is the stripped-down model of the flagship Honor 10, which was launched earlier this year. A 6.21-inch FHD+ display, Kirin 710 SoC, and up to 6GB RAM are the highlighted features of the Honor 10 Lite. It has a fancy gradient back panel in red or blue which is considered as one of the most prominent features of the handset.

Honor 10 Lite comes with a 6.21-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. It isn’t quite flagship-level quality, but it’s on par or better than other mid-range devices.
Under the hood, there is a Kirin 710 CPU coupled with ARM Mali-G51 MP4 GPU and 4GB/6GB of RAM. On the storage front, it has 64GB/128GB internal memory which has an option to expand up to 256GB using a microSD card.
The main camera setup has a 13MP shooter with f/1.8 aperture and a secondary 2 MP sensor for depth sensing. On the front, there is a 24MP front camera with AI selfies.
The Honor 10 Lite runs on Android 9.0 Pie with EMUI 9.0 on top, features hybrid dual-SIM support and packs a 3400mAh battery. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor on the back for better security purposes.
Honor 10 Lite price and availability:
The Honor 10 Lite comes in Midnight Black, White, Gradient Blue, and Gradient Red colors, is priced at 1399 yuan (US$ 201 / Rs. 14,370 approx.) for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version, 1699 yuan (US$ 244/ Rs. 17,450 approx.) for the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage version and the top-end 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version costs 1899 yuan (US$ 273 / Rs. 19,500 approx.). The device is up for grab in China starting from today.
Honor didn’t reveal its plans for the release of Honor 10 Lite for the Indian market. But, one can expect the launch very soon as it’s premium device i.e. Honor 10 also made available in India soon after the release in the Chinese market.
