Huawei and its sub-brand Honor have gained a lot of reputation for rolling out the latest software updates to its devices. To justify this, let’s take the example of Honor 7X. Released back in 2017, it is a mid-range device powered by Huawei’s own HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor. It came with Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. Being a low-to-mid tier phone, Huawei rolled out Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMUI 8.0 update. Now, it has started recruiting Honor 7X users for Android Pie/EMUI 9.0 beta update.
