Honor 20, the upcoming Honor flagship smartphone and the successor of Honor 10 has surfaced online for the very first time. The device has been leaked on Chinese social networking site, Weibo revealing key specifications, price, and design ahead of its official announcement in the coming days. Just a couple of months back, Honor announced the V20 smartphone in China in December and soon brought to other global markets in early January this year.
Tipster ichangezone on Weibo has shared the back panel photo of the Honor 20 smartphone, along with key specifications and price. Starting from pricing, the Honor 20 will be categorized into three variants depending upon their storage availability. The base model of a 6GB+128GB option will be priced at 2999 yuan, while the 8GB+128GB variant comes with a price of 3399 yuan. Lastly, the 8GB + 256GB memory option is priced at 3799 yuan.
The leaked renders of Honor 20 shows the back panel of the smartphone in a gradient finish. There is also triple rear camera setup aligned vertically. There is no fingerprint scanner on the rear panel and the leaks hints an in-display fingerprint scanner. There is also ‘AI Vision’ branding on the rear panel revealing that the device comes with AI capabilities, similar to the Huawei & Honor devices announced these days.
In terms of specifications, the Honor 20 is said to feature a 6.1-inch FHD+ OLED display with a waterdrop style notch and is powered by Kirin 980 SoC coupled with 720 MHz ARM Mali-G76MP10 GPU. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie-based EMUI 9.0 out of the box and sports a triple rear camera setup – a 48MP camera + 20MP Ultra-Wide Angle lens, and an 8MP Telephoto lens. The leakster says it would reach DxOMark scores of 108, which would put the Honor 20 right behind the Mate 20 phones and the Galaxy S10+. The device is also supposed to include a 32MP front camera, 6GB/8GB of RAM, 128GB/256GB internal storage and packs with a 3,650mAh battery.
Huawei’s sub-brand still have to announce the official release date of Honor 20. Stay tuned as we’ll update once anything comes official from Honor.
