Last month, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor announced the Honor 30S, its first smartphone to be powered by the company’s latest Kirin 820 5G SoC. The smartphone is already available for purchase in China starting from 2399 Yuan (US$338). It’s hardly 15 days passed since the official debut of the Honor 30S, the device already picked-up its first software update.
You heard it right! Honor 30S started receiving a new firmware update which brings the version 184.108.40.206. An earlier version of the firmware was Magic UI 220.127.116.11.
Coming to the features, the Magic UI 18.104.22.168 is just a minor upgrade, optimizing system stability for better performance. Apart from this, there are no major changes. The update is pushed via OTA (over-the-air) in a phase-wise manner. This means it might take a couple of days to appear on each and every device.
Users can also manually check for updates through Settings > System > Software update > Check for updates > Download and Install. Alternatively, one can also take the help of the HiCare app for requesting the latest software update.
