Honor 5C users will be happy to hear that the company has started rolling out the Android Nougat update via OTA. It is a stable version that also brings EMUI 5.0 to the device. The Honor 5C was launched back in June last year in India running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Huawei EMUI 4.1 on top.
Huawei says that the update is rolled out in batches so it might take a couple of days or even a week to appear on your device notification bar. Before this, the company already conducted the Nougat beta program back in January this year where the Honor 5C users have the option to enroll as a Nougat beta tester. It lets users experience the firmware before the official release. Also, download Huawei P9 Lite Ported EMUI 5.0 ROM for Honor 5C.
As promised, Huawei finally starts rolling out an update to the most-awaited Honor 5C users. There is no official changelog shared by the company, but it reveals that the update brings VoLTE support to the device. We’ll update once Huawei shares the changelog of the 5C Nougat update.
You can also manually check for updates by following the path Settings > About phone > System Updates. Make sure to download the update over Wi-Fi and charged your device well enough to avoid unnecessary power-off during the update process.
