Huawei’s Honor brand on Tuesday announced the Honor 6X smartphone in India starting for Rs. 12,999. It was first unveiled earlier this month at the CES 2017 being held in Las Vegas. So, it’s not long taking for the smartphone to step into the competitive Indian market where it will be taking on Redmi Note 4 and Coolpad Cool1 Dual smartphones. Honor 6X is a “made in India” device and will be sold exclusively on Amazon India.
The Honor 6X features a metal unibody design with the curved and smooth corners on the back and flaunts a 5.5-inch screen with a 1080 x 1920 pixels screen resolutions. The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI 4.1 on top which can be later upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat in Q2 2017.
Under the hood, there is a Hisilicon Kirin 655 octa-core processor clocking at 2.1GHz. The phone has 32GB/64GB internal storage which can be further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. It includes a special called Wi-Fi bridge, which can transform your Honor device into a Wi-Fi repeater for up to 4 handsets.
For Camera lovers, there is a 12-megapixels shooter on the rear panel with phase-detection auto-focus, LED flash and a secondary 2-megapxels for achieving depth of field and background blur. On the front, it sports an 8-megapixels selfie camera.
The device features fingerprint scanner which can unlock the device within 0.3 seconds and is powered by a 3340mAh battery with fast charging support. The connectivity options includes 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. It measures 150.9 x 72.6 x 8.2mm and weighs 162g.
Price in India: The Honor 6X comes in gold, silver, and gray colors and is priced at Rs. 12,999 for the 3GB RAM + 32GB variant, while the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant costs Rs. 15,999. As said, the phone is Amazon exclusive and will be available only through flash sale starting from 2nd February at 2PM.
