Huawei and its sub-brand Honor has suddenly pick-up a flight in rolling out the latest EMUI 9.1 update to its devices. Almost every day we are seeing a new smartphone being made eligible for the EMUI 9.1 OS. Today, another Honor device joins the party. It’s the Honor 7X reportedly receiving the EMUI 9.1 update.
The EMUI 9.1 update for Honor 7X is currently available for the Indian region. The announcement comes from Honor India itself through its official twitter handle.
“We do understand your excitement for Android Pie update in Honor 7X. We would like to inform you that we have started rolling out Android Pie with EMUI 9.1”, says Honor India.
Honor has skipped the EMUI 9.0 and indeed it has directly rolled out the EMUI 9.1. The ROM is based on Android 9 Pie and brings all its goodness. To remind you, the Honor 7X was initially supposed to get the EMUI 9.0 by July-end.
Like always, the update is rolling out via OTA in batches. This might take time to reach each and every device. Honor 7X users can also manually check for updates through Settings > About Phone > System updates > Check for updates. Moreover, EMUI 9.1 update can also be manually requested through the HiCare app.
You can check how to download and install the latest firmware using the HiCare app.
Stay tuned as we’ll update with more details like the firmware build number and changelog once we get hands-on Honor 7X with EMUI 9.1 OS. In case, if you’re the lucky one to get the latest EMUI update, then don’t forget to share software details in the below comments.
