Honor 8 (FRD-L04) smartphone finally gets official EMUI 5.0 Android 7.0 Nougat update via OTA. This comes forward by Honor USA via its Twitter account and is big news for owners of the mid-range smartphones.

Apart from Android Nougat features, the EMUI 5.0 also brings several tweaks to the UI like changes to Home-screen Interface, Notification Shade, App Drawer, Recent Apps, and more. The company also includes a cool new feature called “App Twin” which allows users to log-in and use two different accounts at the same time on a single device. However, the feature is currently compatible with only WhatsApp and Facebook application. We could expect company soon makes this feature to work with other applications too. Overall, the Nougat will bring completely new experience to the device and also resolves all the issues faced by various users. The update also highlights the addition of new App Drawer which will be really amusing.
As of now, the EMUI 5.0 Android Nougat update is released only for the Honor 8 U.S. variant. There is no details when the update will be rolled out for the Indian variant, but it will be not a long wait. We should know more details about the EMUI 5.0 from Honor India in the next coming weeks.
