Huawei’s sub brand Honor on Thursday launched the lite version of its popular Honor 8 smartphone in India. Priced at Rs. 17,999, the Honor 8 Lite will be among the company’s devices available across the mobile stores near you. The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and packs a 3000mAh battery.
Design wise, the Honor 8 Lite looks quite similar to that of Honor 8. The front and back feature 2.5D curved-edge glass with a metal frame giving a premium look to the smartphone. It sports metal edges and onscreen navigation buttons.
In terms of display, the devices flaunts a 5.2-inch Full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) display with 2.5D curved glass protection. Under the hood, there is an Octa-Core Kirin 655 (4 x 2.1GHz + 4 x 1.7GHz) 16nm processor coupled with Mali T830-MP2 GPU and 4GB LPDDR3 RAM. There is 64GB of internal storage which can be further expandable up to 128GB with microSD card. Also The Honor 8 Pro is Huawei’s best flagship yet!
The camera combination here is a 12-megapixels rear camera and an 8-megapixels front-facing camera. However, there is no dual-lens camera combination here that was seen on both the recent phones from Honor. The Honor 8 Lite also features a fingerprint scanner on the rear side which can perform several functions apart from unlocking the device. It is also the company’s first handset in India to run on the EMUI 5.0 interface based on the latest Android OS. It is powered by a 3000mAh battery on the back and the connectivity options includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 4G VoLTE support.
The Honor 8 Lite will be available in Premium Black colour initially, followed up by blue colour later this month, and will be available for purchase from 12th May 2017 at a MOP of INR 17,999 across all Honor partner stores pan-Indian.
