Huawei Honor brand today announced a new mid-range smartphone dubbed as Honor 8 Lite in Finland. As the name itself suggest, it is the cheapest variant of last year flagship Honor 8 smartphone. Also, the Honor 8 Lite is already available up for pre-orders at EUR 269, which converts roughly to Rs. 19,600 Indian rupees. It is set to go on sale in the country on February 17.
On the specifications wise, the Honor 8 Lite features a 5.2-inch Full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) display with 2.5D curved glass protection. Under the hood, there is a Kirin 655 octa-core CPU coupled with 3GB RAM. One of the big highlights of the smartphone is that it runs on EMUI 5.0 out-of-the-box which is based on Android 7.0 Nougat, Google’s latest Android operating system.
The device equips with a 12-megapixes camera with f/2.2 aperture and autofocus, an 8-megapixels camera on the front with a 77-degree wide-angle lens. It has 16GB of internal storage which can be further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. It offers connectivity features like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS. The phone packs with a massive 3000mAh battery which is well enough to provide backup for an entire day on heavy usage.
