The Honor 8 Pro is Huawei’s best flagship yet

Huawei’s subsidiary Honor brand today announced an upgraded variant of last year’s Honor 8, aka the Honor 8 Pro. It is one of the most powerful Honor device launched till date. Similar to that of Honor 8, it has dual camera setup and an all-metal unibody design. The flagship is already available to pre-order in Europe and UK for 474.99 GBP (US$ 592 / Rs. 38,450 approx.) and 549 Euros (US$ 585 / Rs. 38,030 approx.) in Europe. It can be pre-order from Honor’s vMall.eu in three different bungles and goes on sale from Amazon from April 20th.

Honor 8 Pro Specifications & Features

The Honor 8 Pro comes with a 5.7-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) QHD LTPS 2.5D curved glass display with pixel density of 515ppi. It is powered by an Octa-Core 4 x CortexA53 (1.8GHz) + 4 x ARTEMIS (2.4GHz) Kirin 960 processor coupled with Mali G71 Octa-core GPU. It sports a 12MP + 12MP dual rear cameras and an impressive 8MP front camera for beautiful selfie purposes.

On the storage front, there is a 6GB of RAM and a 64GB of internal storage which can be further expandable up to 128GB with microSD. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with company’s latest Emotion UI 5.1 on top. Other specs includes dual-SIM support, a fingerprint sensor at the rear, NFC, and USB-C charging. The Honor 8 is further backed by a 4,000mA battery.

The new Honor device is much slimmer than the Apple iPhone7 Plus. Honor 8 Pro thickness measures at 6.97 mm. Slimmer than 7.30 mm size of iPhone 7 Plus. Honor 8 Pro dual lens camera’s insertion in the device without any protruding parts saves the Huawei phone those extra mm points of thickness.
