Honor 8X EMUI 10.0.0.180 update brings VoWiFi, February Patch

Honor 8X Firmware Update

Honor 8X is one of the lucky mid-ranger to get the taste of Google’s latest Android operating system i.e. the Android 10. In comparison, the Huawei P Smart+ 2018 (Nova 3i) and Honor Play packs the similar kind of specifications but unfortunately misses the Android 10-based EMUI 10 update.

Moreover, Huawei P Smart+ 2018 and Honor Play users have also signed petitions for EMUI 10 update, but it was of no use as the company official confirmed that there will be no major Android updates for these devices.

Coming back to Honor 8X, the device already received the EMUI 10 update a few weeks back. Additionally, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor also promised to roll out the VoWiFi (WiFi Calling) feature alongside the February Patch.

Today, the wait has been awaited as a new update has been pushed to Honor 8X. The update pops-up the version to EMUI 10.0.0.180 and brings the VoWiFi and February 2020 Security Patch. Notably, the Honor 9 Lite also received the VoWiFi and February Patch yesterday itself.

The EMUI 10.0.0.180 update for Honor 8X is about 287MB in size and is rolling out via OTA. If you’re an Honor 8X user, then go to Settings > System Updates > Check for updates for manually checking the update. Alternatively, users can also take the help of the HiCare app for requesting the new update.
