Honor, the sub-brand of Huawei has started rolling out the much-awaited EMUI 9.1 software update to Honor 8X in China. The GPU Turbo 3.0 and EROFS file system are the highlights of the EMUI 9.1 update. Alongside the Honor 8X, there are four other smartphones receiving the EMUI 9.1 upgrade. This includes the Huawei Nova 4, Nova 3i, Maimang 7, and Enjoy 9 Plus.
The EMUI 9.1 update is still based on Android 9 Pie and brings improved performance, new wallpapers, GPU Turbo 3.0, and many others. The third-generation of GPU Turbo 3.0 supports a total of 25 games such as Fortnite, Real Racing 3, PES 2019, and more. It also manages to reduce power consumption on the device during gameplay by up to 10% without needing to compromise on graphics performance, allowing users to game for a longer period of time.
