Huawei is quite busy in rolling out its latest gaming feature called GPU Turbo to its devices either through software updates or packing this gaming technology out of the box like the Honor Note 10. After Honor 7X, the latest device to get this GPU Turbo feature is the Honor 9 Lite. Yes, Huawei is rolling out a new software update with version 8.0.0.187 to Honor 9 Lite users in India which brings the new gaming technology to the device.
Apart from the GPU Turbo technology, the latest software 8.0.0.187 also brings bug fixes to the call recording feature that surfaced in the previous B185 update. The same feature was also pushed to the Honor 7A and Honor 7C in the recent updates.
The Honor 9 Lite users reportedly facing call recording issues when the OK Google feature is enabled. To overcome this issue, Huawei has pushed the new software update which not fixes the issue but also boosts the performance of the device.
Like every time, the latest Honor 9 Lite 8.0.0.187 update is rolling out via OTA in a phase-wise manner. So, it might take a couple of days or even a week to appear on your device. Users can also manually check for updates from the path Settings > System update > Check for updates. Ensure the device is on B185 firmware to make it eligible for the update.
