Hello EMUI fans! Today, there is great news to be cheer about. Huawei has officially announced Android 9.0 Pie-based EMUI 9.0 Beta program for four of its devices – the Honor 9i (Glory 9i), Huawei Enjoy 7S, Huawei Enjoy 8 Plus, and Honor 9 Youth Edition.
The EMUI 9.0 was first introduced with the Mate 20 series on October 16th. Soon after, a range of Huawei & Honor smartphones started receiving this major update. Check here for the list of EMUI 9 compatible devices.
The following are the Huawei phones eligible for the EMUI 9.0 Open Beta Program –
- Honor 9i aka Glory 9i [(LLD-AL20) and (LLD-AL30)]
- Huawei Enjoy 7S [(FIG-AL00) and (FIG-AL10) and (FIG-TL00) and (FIG-TL10)]
- Huawei Enjoy 8 Plus [(FLA-AL20) and (FLA-AL10) and (FLA-TL10)]
- Honor 9 Youth Edition [(LLD-AL00) and (LLD-AL10) and (LLD-TL10)]
EMUI 9.0 will feature Natural UX design with integration of nature’s sound and color with natural minimalist style, returning to the natural immersive design. It also comes with GPU Turbo 2.0 technology which promises smooth user experience. On top of that, it also brings Android 9.0 Pie goodness including gesture-based navigation, New Quick Settings UI design, Redesigned volume slider, Advanced Battery with AI Support and more.
Under EMUI 9.0 Beta program, selected users of Honor 9i, Huawei Enjoy 7S, Huawei Enjoy 8 Plus, and Honor 9 Youth Edition need to install the firmware and report bugs & issues if any to the EMUI forum. Once the firmware is stable enough, it will be gradually rolled out to all eligible users around the globe.
