Huawei sub-brand Honor has launched a new smartphone dubbed as Honor 9N at an event in India today. The Honor 9N is company’s first affordable smartphone to launch in India with an iPhone-X like ‘Notch Fullview’ display. A 12-layer premium glass design, bezel-less display with 19:9 aspect ratio and a 16MP selfie camera are the highlights of the smartphone. It is the same smartphone Huawei launched as Honor 9i (2018) in China last month. The Honor 9N pricing starts at Rs. 11,999 and will be sold exclusively on Flipkart e-retailer store. Honor 9N Specifications
Honor 9N is equipped with narrow Notch Display design with 14.84cm, 2280×1080 FHD+ resolution with 19:9 aspect ratio and 79% screen to body ratio for more screen space with minimum bezel experience. The device is powered by the mid-range octa-core Kirin 659 processor with a 3GB/ 4GB RAM configuration and up to 32GB/64GB/128GB of internal storage which will be expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB).
In terms of optics, the Honor 9N features a dual rear camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.2 aperture, alongside an LED flash. The camera also comes with PDAF and supports features such as HDR, time-lapse, and burst mode. On the front, there is a 16-megapixel sensor that works with a beauty mode.
The smartphone has hybrid dual-SIM support where users can use two SIM cards or a SIM + microSD card at a time. The Honor 9N runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with EMUI 8.0 on top and measures 149.2×71.8×7.7mm; weighs 152g. It also features a rear-fingerprint scanner and a Face Unlock feature for better security purposes. It is backup by an 3000mAh battery which is well enough to provide usage for an entire day. The connectivity options included within the device are 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS / GLONASS.
Price and Availability:
The Honor 9N comes in Lavender Purple, Robin Egg Blue, Sapphire Blue and Midnight Black colors, is priced at Rs. 11,999 for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version, Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB RAM with 64GB version and the 128GB version of it costs Rs. 17,999. It will be available exclusively on Flipkart starting from 31st July. It will also be available from Honor official store.
