Honor Play 8A has been officially launched in China offering 6-inch waterdrop display, Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P35 12nm processor and runs on Android 9.0 Pie. The device is the successor of Honor 7A which was launched in India last year. The Honor Play 8A is one of the best budget smartphones that is equipped with an overclocked processor for gaming.
The Honor Play 8A comes in Blue, Gold, and Black colors, pricing starts at 799 Yuan (approx. Rs. 8,155) for the 32GB storage version while the 64GB storage version costs 999 Yuan (roughly Rs. 10,195). The device will be up for grab in China starting from tomorrow.

The dual-SIM Honor Play 8A features a 6.09-inch HD+ (720×1560 pixels) TFT IPS LCD panel along with a waterdrop-style display notch and 283ppi of pixel density. It runs on EMUI 9.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie and powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 (MT6765) SoC.
The Honor Play 8A offers 3GB of RAM for multi-tasking and comes in 32GB / 64GB internal storage. There is also a microSD card slot for further memory expansion up to 512GB. It doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor but comes with face unlock that can scan 1024 facial points.
Honor has offered a single rear camera setup on the Play 8A that comes with a 13-megapixel sensor, paired with an f/1.8 aperture and phase-detection autofocus (PDAF) tech. The rear camera sensor comes along with an LED flash and supports an automatic HDR feature. For selfies, there is an 8-megapixel sensor at the front along with an f/2.0 aperture.
The devices includes connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS / A-GPS, MicroUSB 2.0, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It measures 156.28×73.5×8.0mm and weighs 150g. There is a 3000mAh battery on the back which is well-enough to provide backup for an entire day.
