Honor View 10 Android Pie EMIUI 9.0 update

Huawei sub-brand Honor already rolled out EMUI 9.0 stable update to Honor View 10 earlier this year. Today, the company has released a new software update to Honor View 10 bringing the May 2019 Security Patch. Recently, the Honor Play and Honor View 20 also received the monthly security updates.

The latest firmware update for Honor View 10 brings the version EMUI 9.0.0.228(C675E6R1P9) and is about 695MB in size. The update has been pushed via OTA in a phase-wise manner. So, it might take a few days to appear on each and every Honor View 10 device. Users can also request the OTA update through HiCare app (HiCare app supports only selected regions).

Apart from the regular security patch, the new EMUI 9.0 update doesn’t bring many changes to the smartphone. The update fixes system language issue and also issue in which Mythili was not included as a system language. You can check the below source link for complete changelog overview.

However, those who have installed the EMUI 9.0.0.228 update on their Honor View 10 have been complaining about the bugs and issues after the firmware update. The device lag or hang issue, Notifications toggles are not working, recent app not closing/background apps continuously running, automatic heating, and more.

There are reports that a factory reset solves the above-listed problems. To perform a rest, follow our guide on how to hard reset any Honor phone. Moreover, it is important to note that the factory reset deletes all the data from your phone.

If you’re one among those facing the issues after the latest firmware update on your Honor View 10, then we advise you to wait for a while as Honor will surely release a new update as a fix for all these issues.
