Huawei on Monday announced two new smartphones in the ‘Enjoy’ series dubbed as Huawei Enjoy 9S and Huawei Enjoy 9e at an event in China. The Enjoy 9S is placed under the mid-range price segment with key features like 6.21-inch FHD+ display, Kirin 710 SoC, and 24MP + 2MP + 16MP camera setup. On the other hand, the Enjoy 9e comes under affordable price tag with top features including a 6.09-inch HD+ display, MediaTek Helio A22 SoC, and a 13MP rear camera. Additionally, the Chinese company has unveiled the Tablet M5 Youth Edition with GPU Turbo 2.0, up to 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of inbuilt storage. Huawei Enjoy 9S
The dual SIM (Hybrid) Huawei Enjoy 9S comes with a 6.21-inch Full HD+ 19:5:9 2.5D curved glass display with a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. Under the hood, there is an octa-core Kirin 710 12nm SoC coupled with ARM Mali-G51 MP4 GPU and 4GB of RAM. There is 64GB /128GB of internal storage with an option to expand further via microSD.
The device runs on Android 9.0 Pie operating system with the company’s own custom EMUI 9.0 skin on top. For photos and videos, the Huawei Enjoy 9S packs a triple rear camera setup along with a 24-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens, 16-megapixel secondary sensor sporting a 117-degree of the wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. There is also an 8MP shooter on the front for selfies and other video calling purposes.
The Enjoy 9S packs a 3,400mAh battery and offers connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and 3.5mm headphone jack.
Huawei Enjoy 9e
Coming to Huawei Enjoy 9e, it runs on Android 9.0 Pie-based EMUI 9.0 OS and sports a 6.09-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop-style notch design, and comes 87 percent of screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by a 2GHz Quad-Core MediaTek Helio A22 12nm processor with IMG PowerVR GE-class GPU, 3GB of RAM, and 64GB of expandable memory.
The Enjoy 9e has a single 13MP f/1.8 camera on its back which Huawei claims takes in up to 50% more light than an f/2.2 sensor. The front camera is an 8MP f/2.0 sensor with a beauty mode and support for face unlock. It measures 156.28×73.5×8.0mm and weighs 150g. There is a 3020mAh battery support which is well-enough to provide backup for an entire day.
Price and Availability:
The HUAWEI Enjoy 9S comes in Black, Red and Blue colors, is priced at 1499 yuan (US$ 223 / Rs. 15,400 approx.) for the 64GB storage version and the 128GB storage version costs 1699 yuan (US$ 253 / Rs. 17,450 approx.). It will go on sale in China starting today. The HUAWEI Enjoy 9e Black, Blue, and Gold colors are priced at 999 yuan (US$ 148 / Rs. 10,260 approx.), will be available for order from April 2nd and go on sale from 8th April in China.
