It’s just last month Huawei’s Honor brand unveiled its most powerful smartphone till date dubbed as the Honor 8 Pro. The name itself suggest it is a successor of last year’s Honor 8 with similar dual camera setup and an all metal unibody design. Now it seems Honor is already started working on its next flagship model, the Huawei Honor 9. According to the reports, the smartphone could be uncovered on June 20 or 21 in two different variants – regular and big screen versions. Apart from this, there are also leaked specifications and features of this device.
The upcoming Honor 9 could feature a dual-camera like its predecessor and Huawei Mate 9. The rear camera sports a 12-megapixels black and white sensor accompanied with a 22-megapixels color sensor. There is no doubt it will be the company’s best device with this quality cameras.
The other specifications includes a 5.2-inch Full HD screen, Kirin 960 SoC, 6GB of RAM, UFS 2.0 storage, and 4G VoLTE connectivity. There is no details on battery capacity but it should support a 5VDC / 2A or 9VDC / 2A fast charge technology.
Considering the price tag, the Huawei Honor 9 is expected to price at 2499 Yuan (approx. $362). With such a competitive price tag, the device will take on the Xiaomi’s newly launched flagship, the Xiaomi Mi6 which is also priced at 2499 for the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. Both the flagships share some identical specs like a metal frame and 3D glass housing, fingerprint scanner under the home button, dual rear camera setup and so on.
