Huawei on Tuesday announced its latest flagship smartphone, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro at an event in India, as it had promised. Triple rear camera setup, full-screen display with a notch up front, and ‘Hyper Optical Pattern’ textured back panel are some of the highlights of the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. Bundled with top features and premium design, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro is launched as a competitor to newly launched iPhone XS Max and Samsung Galaxy Note 9 flagships in India.

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro comes with a large 6.39-inch QHD+ (1440 x 3120 pixels) curved OLED display with a 3D glass on the front and back. It is powered by the company’s latest Kirin 980 chipset that is based on a 7nm process and comes with dual NPU. The flagship also features IP68 ratings for water and dustproof resistance. It is said that the device can withstand under 1.5 meters of freshwater for up to 30 minutes.
On the storage front, the Mate 20 Pro offers 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage which can be further extendable up to 256GB with NM card. Another highlight of the device is that it runs on Android 9.0 Pie-based EMUI 9.0 out-of-the-box.
The dual SIM (hybrid) Huawei Mate 20 Pro sports a Leica triple rear camera setup similar to the Huawei P20 Pro. There’s one primary 40-megapixel primary wide-angle lens with f/1.8 aperture, a 20-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a third 8-megapixel 3X telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture. The cameras also support laser and phase detection autofocus as well as AIS (AI-based stabilization). On the front, the Mate 20 Pro sports a 24MP 3D depth-sensing camera.
A 4,200mAh battery provides juice to the device with 40W SuperCharge support. Moreover, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro also supports 15W wireless charging technology. In terms of connectivity, the device is equipped with 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port.

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro comes in Midnight Blue, Black, Twilight and Emerald Green colors, is priced at Rs. 69,990 and will be available exclusively on Amazon.in starting from December 3rd for Prime members and from 4th December for others. It is also offering a Mate 20 Pro and Sennheiser PXC550 Wireless Headphones (worth Rs. 29,990) bundle at an offer price of Rs. 71,990.
