Huawei finally unveiled the Huawei Mate 30 series smartphones at an event in Munich, Germany. Currently, there are three phones for this year under Huawei Mate 30 series offering levels of features at different price brands. This includes the Huawei Mate 30, Mate 30 Pro, and Mate 30 RS Porsche Designs. Apart from this, there is also 5G variants of standard Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro. Unfortunately, the devices don’t ship with Google Apps due to the US trade ban.
Huawei Mate 30 Pro / Mate 30 Pro 5G: Specifications
Huawei Mate 30 Pro flaunts a 6.53-inch (2400 x 1176 pixels) FHD+ flex OLED display with 18.4:9 aspect ratio, DCI-P3 wide color gamut. The only difference between the Mate 30 Pro and Mate 30 Pro 5G is the chipset. The Huawei Mate 30 Pro is powered by Kirin 990 (2 x Cortex-A76 Based 2.86 GHz + 2 x Cortex-A76 Based 2.09 GHz + 4 x Cortex-A55 1.86 GHz) SoC while 5G version includes Kirin 990 5G (2 x Cortex-A76 Based 2.86 GHz + 2 x Cortex-A76 Based 2.36 GHz + 4 x Cortex-A55 1.95 GHz) SoC.
The Mate 30 Pro gets a quad-camera setup consisting of a 40-megapixel SuperSensing Wide angle camera, another 40-megapixel Ultra-wide Cine camera for shooting videos, an 8-megapixel Telephoto camera aiding 3x optical zoom and 3D depth sensor. The main camera has a 1/1.7 sensor whereas the video camera gets a 1/1.54 sensor. On the front, there is a 32-megapixels front-facing camera coupled with a 3D facial recognition sensors and a gesture control sensor.
It features hybrid dual SIM (nano + nano / NM card) support and runs on EMUI 10 OS. This EMUI 10 ROM is based on an open-source version of Android, and its China site says it’s based on Android 10. However, there will be no Google apps installed in it.
The Huawei Mate 30 Pro offers 8GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage and an NM card slot for memory expansion up to 256GB. It also features an in-display fingerprint sensor and side-touch interaction for dual-sided volume control. It is IP68 ratings for water and dust resistance.
The flagship is powered by a 4500mAh battery with 40W SuperCharge, 27W Wireless Huawei SuperCharge support. It also comes with wireless charging technology to charge compatible devices while on-the-move.

The HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro comes in Emerald Green, Space Silver, Cosmic Purple and Black, and is priced at 1099 Euros (US$ 1213 / Rs. 86,590 approx.)., while the Mate 30 Pro 5G also comes in Forest Green and Orange are available in vegan leather and is priced at 1199 Euros (US$ 1324 / Rs. 94,470 approx.).
