Till now, we have seen the punch-hole display concept mostly on smartphones. Now, Huawei wants to change this scenario and thus comes with a new flagship tablet featuring a punch-hole display. Dubbed as Huawei MatePad Pro, it offers flagship specifications and directly takes on the likes of Apple iPad Pro. Moreover, it is the clear clone of iPad Pro with a few more curves and slightly thinner bezels too.
Huawei MatePad Pro – Price and Availability
Huawei MatePad Pro comes in four different color options – Orange, White, Green, and Gray colors. Coming to the pricing, it is priced at 3299 yuan (US$469) for the 6GB+128GB storage variant, 3999 Yuan (US$568) for the 8GB+256GB storage variant. On the other hand, the LTE version costs 3799 Yuan (US$540) for the 6GB + 128GB storage while the 8GB+256GB storage LTE version costs 4499 Yuan (US$639). The MatePad Pro is already up for pre-order in China while the shipping starts from December 12.
Huawei MatePad Pro – Specifications
Huawei MatePad Pro comes with a 10.8-inch QHD+ (2560 x 1600 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display with 90% screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by an Octa-Core Kirin 990 SoC and runs on Android 10 with EMUI 10 on top.
The camera cutout houses an 8MP selfie camera. There is also a 13MP autofocus rear camera with PDAF and f/1.8 aperture. The tablet comes with Harman Kardon-certified Quad speakers and Huawei Histen sound effects.
On the storage front, the MatePad Pro offers 6GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB/512GB storage. There is also an option to expand memory up to 256GB with NM card.
The tablet measures 246 x 159 x 7.2mm and weighs 460g. The connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.1 LE, GPS, and USB Type-C. On the back, there is a 7250mAh battery with support for 40W Huawei super-fast charge, 15W wireless charging, and 7.5w reverse charging.
