Own a Huawei Nova 3 smartphone? Then you will be happy to hear that Huawei has started rolling out Android 9.0 Pie-based EMUI 9.0 firmware update to Huawei Nova 3. As expected it is a beta build that is released for Nova 3 users who participated in the Android Pie beta program.
Huawei Nova 3 was among the 10 company devices made eligible for the Android 9.0 Pie EMUI 9.0 beta program last month. Today, Nova 3 gets the update which bumps the software version to v9.0.5.53. Other Huawei phones part of the EMUI 9 beta program include Huawei Mate 9, Mate 9 Porsche Design, Mate 9 Pro, Huawei P10, P10 Plus, Huawei Nova 2S, Honor Note 10, V9, Honor 9, or the MediaPad M5.
The update is available via OTA (over-the-air) to all those Nova 3 users who have registered and accepted under beta program. But, do remember that as the firmware is still under beta users may face bugs and issues after installing on your Huawei Nova 3. So, it will be much handy to backup all your data to a safer place before proceeding.

EMUI 9.0 brings several features including new SmartCare AI learning, Password Vault, GPU Turbo 2.0, Multi-task-switching between each app and more. Apart from this, Android Pie along brings gesture-based navigation, New Quick Settings UI design, Redesigned volume slider, and Advanced Battery with AI Support.
But what about the stable version of Android Pie to Nova 3? Well, if the beta update gets positive feedback, we can expect Huawei to start rolling out a stable version before the end of this year. Stay tuned!
