Huawei Nova 5 Pro EMUI 10 (Android 10) beta recruitment goes live in China [SEA-AL10]

EMUI 10 is the latest generation of EMUI skin based on Android 10 OS. Since its official debut in August, the EMUI 10 beta made its way to several Huawei and Honor smartphone. The latest smartphone to get the EMUI 10 beta support is the Huawei Nova 5 Pro.

Yes, Huawei China has started recruiting Huawei Nova 5 Pro for EMUI 10 (Android 10) beta program. As it is internal testing, the number of users able to join the program will be minimal. Initially, a total of 2000 users can only participate to try the EMUI 10 beta version. The registrations have already begun and last till November 15, 2019. Soon after a week, Huawei will push the EMUI 10 update via OTA to the selected users.

Once the company finishes the internal beta, it migrates to public beta where more and more can participate in the beta program. Currently, the Huawei Nova 5 Pro with model number SEA-AL10 and version EMUI 9.1.1.175 or above can download the update. Users can manually check their build version via Settings > System.

The main objective of the EMUI 10 beta program is to find out bugs/issues and report the same to the developer team which makes necessary changes before the stable release. There are no details about the stable release of EMUI 10 for Nova 5 Pro, but one can expect somewhere in late Q1 2019 or early Q2 2019.

Android 10-based EMUI 10 software update brings several new features and changes in user interface including the Morandi UI color system, Dark Mode, Magazine-style UI layout, HiCare mode, and more.

The EMUI 10 beta recruitment is only for the Chinese version of Huawei Nova 5 Pro. Stay tuned to HuaweiAdvices as we’ll update once the program expands to global units.
