Huawei Nova 5T is the company’s latest flagship smartphone in the ‘Nova 5’ series. The quad rear cameras, Kirin 980 SoC, and up to 8GB of RAM are the highlights of the Nova 5T. Currently, the smartphone is receiving a new firmware update in Europe. It is a small update bringing the latest security patch to the device.
Huawei Nova 5T [YAL-L21] update pops-up the firmware version to EMUI 9.1.0.166 and is about 721MB in size. As the update is rolling out via OTA in a phase-wise manner, it might take a couple of days to appear on each and every device. One can manually check for updates via Settings > System > About phone > Updates. There is also an official app called HiCare for requesting the latest software.
Coming to the changelog, the EMUI 9.1.0.166 update for Huawei Nova 5T brings the September security patch. Apart from this, there is no major features included in the update. You can also check here for a detailed changelog overview.
To remind you, Huawei Nova 5T along with 7 other Huawei phones, has been made eligible for the EMUI 10 beta program globally. Of all, the Nova 5T from the Asia Pacific region with the YAL-L21 model grabs its place in the list. However, more models from other regions will also be made supportive of EMUI 10 beta in the coming weeks.
