Huawei on Monday announces the Huawei Nova 5z, its latest Android smartphone under the Nova 5 series in China. It is the cheaper version of the Huawei Nova 5i Pro which was announced in July this year. A Punch-hole display and quad rear cameras are the highlights of the Nova 5z. The device is already up for pre-order in China while the shipping happens from November 1st.
Huawei Nova 5z – Specifications
The dual-SIM (Nano) Huawei Nova 5z comes with a 6.26-inch FHD+ display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 1080 x 2340 pixels screen resolution. Under the hood, there is an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 810 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM.
As said the smartphones come with quad rear cameras which include a 48MP main camera with a Sony IMX586 sensor, an 8MP Ultra-Wide Angle lens, 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the selfie side, there is a 32-megapixels camera with an f/2.0 aperture.
There is a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner on the Huawei Nova 5z. It runs on Android Pie-based EMUI 9.1 OS with plenty of software and hardware boosters – GPU Turbo technology for enhanced gaming, AI for the camera and performance. On the storage front, it offers 64GB/128GB of on-board memory which can be further expandable up to 256GB with microSD.
The connectivity offers includes Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C and 3.5mm audio jack. It measures 156.1 x 73.9 x 8.3mm and weighs 178 grams.
There is a 4000mAh battery on the Nova 5z with 20W fast charging support.
Price and Availability:
The HUAWEI Nova 5z comes in Aurora Blue, Emerald Green and Midnight Black colors and are priced at 1599 yuan (US$ 226 / Rs. 16,030 approx.) for the 64GB version and the 128GB version costs 1799 yuan. It is available for order in China and goes on sale from November 1st.
