It seems Huawei is in the role of launching new smartphones that too in the premium lineup. First, it was Huawei P40 series which was followed by the Honor 30 series smartphones. Now, within a month of these announcements, the company unveils yet another flagship smartphone series. The Huawei Nova series gets three new additions in the form of Huawei Nova 7, Huawei Nova 7 Pro, and Huawei Nova 7 SE. All the three smartphones come with 5G connectivity, Android 10 (EMUI 10.1), and a 64MP main camera sensor.
Huawei Nova 7 Pro
The dual-SIM Huawei Nova 7 Pro sports a 6.57-inch FHD+ OLED curved display with a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. The screen features a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and has a dual punch-hole cutout for the 32MP and 8MP selfie cameras. It also features a built-in fingerprint scanner.
On the back, there is a 64MP camera with f/1.8 aperture, 8MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.4 aperture, 8MP periscope camera with f/3.4 aperture, OIS, 5x optical zoom, 10x Hybrid Zoom, 50x digital zoom, 2MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. The Nova 7 Pro is powered by Kirin 985 SoC, which is paired with 8GB of RAM. A 4000mAh battery provides juice to the device.
Huawei Nova 7
The Huawei Nova 7 5G, on the other hand, has a slightly smaller 6.53-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,340 pixels) OLED display. It features the same processor as the Pro model. Optics include the same sensors, but the 8-megapixel telephoto camera supports 3x optical zoom, 5x hybrid zoom, and 20x digital zoom.
On the front, there is a single 32-megapixels camera with an f/2.0 aperture. It offers 8GB of RAM with 128GB / 256GB storage option. It is powered by a 4000mAh battery with 40W SuperCharge fast charging technology. The flagship measures 160.64 x 74.33 x 7.96mm, weighs 180 grams, and features an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Huawei Nova 7 SE
The third device in the brand new Nova series is the Nova 7 SE. It’s a toned-down version of the standard Nova 7 with a 6.5-inch IPS display with a punch-hole cutout for the 16MP selfie camera.
The Huawei Nova 7 SE is powered by Kirin 820 processor that is coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB and 256GB internal storage. The rear camera setup includes a 64MP camera with f/1.8 aperture, LED flash, 8MP 120° ultra-wide camera with f/2.4 aperture, 2MP 4cm macro camera, and 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. It has the same battery as that of the other two models but has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. All the three devices come with the company’s own AppGallery.
Price and Availability
The Huawei Nova 7 series smartphones come in five color options – Midnight Black, Silver, Forest Green, Honey Red, and Midsummer Purple colors. The following is the pricing of each model based on storage availability:

All the Huawei Nova 7 series smartphones are already up for pre-order in China, while the first sale is scheduled on April 28. Huawei didn’t reveal any information regarding the announcement of these smartphones outside China.
