Huawei has quietly announced its latest mid-range Android smartphone dubbed as Huawei P Smart Z. It is the same device that was spotted on Amazon Italy just a few days ago. Huawei P Smart Z becomes the company’s first handset to feature a pop-up selfie camera. The new Huawei device comes months after announcing the Huawei P Smart+ 2019 in March. A 6.59-inch Full HD+ display, Kirin 710 SoC, Android 9.0 Pie are the highlights of the Huawei P Smart Z. The device is already listed on Amazon Italy with a price tag.
Huawei P Smart Z: Specifications
According to the listing, the Huawei P Smart Z sports a 6.59-inch Full HD+ 19:5:9 2.5D curved glass display with screen resolutions of 2340 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by an octa-core Kirin 710F 12nm SoC coupled with ARM Mali-G51 MP4 GPU and 4GB of RAM.
For photography, there is a dual camera setup on the back with a 16-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. There is also a 16-megapixel sensor on the front which is mounted on a pop-up mechanism. The mechanism takes 1 second to extend. It has been tested to last 100,000 cycles and it can withstand 12kg of force.
The Huawei P Smart Z features hybrid dual-SIM (nano + nano/microSD) support and runs on Android 9.0 Pie-based EMUI 9.0 OS. It has 64GB of internal storage which can be further extendable up to 512GB using a standard microSD card.
It is powered by a 4,000mAh battery which is well-enough to provide backup for an entire day. The phone measures 163.5×77.3×8.8mm and weigh 196.8 grams.
Price and Availability:
The HUAWEI P Smart Z comes in Midnight Black, Emerald Green and Sapphire Blue colors, is priced at 279 Euros (US$ 312 / Rs. 21,780 approx.) and will roll out in Europe, and is already available in Italy, and will be available in Spain and other countries soon. It is possible that we might see a rebranded version of the phone in other regions under the Honor brand.
