The IFA 2018 tech show is live and most of the Huawei smartphone users will have a close eye at the announcement of Huawei Android 9.0 Pie update. This Chinese smartphone giant is also expected to release EMUI 9.0 ROM which will be based on Android 9.0 Pie. Regarding this, the Huawei has already started rolling out Android 9.0 Pie beta update to its 9 devices.
In fact, there were already reports that Huawei already commenced the Android Pie beta testing for four devices earlier this month in China, it’s only now that these details appear to be official.
The list of Huawei phones currently receiving Android 9.0 Pie beta update are Huawei P20, P20 Pro, Honor 10, Honor V10, Honor Play, Huawei Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, Mate 10 Porsche Design, and Mate RS Porsche Design. Currently, there is no newly launched Huawei Mate 20 Lite in the list. But, this doesn’t means it will not be upgraded to Android Pie. The Mate 20 Lite users can expected the stable Android 9.0 Pie based EMUI 9.0 update by end of this year or early 2019.

Initially, the Android 9 Pie beta update will be rolled out to 1500 devices from each model in China. Later, more devices will adds up in the list including other models from China as well as other global markets.
