Last week, Huawei revealed the key features of the EMUI 10.1 alongside the list of devices to get it. Among the devices to receive the latest EMUI 10.1 update was the Huawei P30, Mate 30, Nova 6 series and more. As per schedule, the update is already up for download for Huawei P30 and P30 Pro. This is an internal beta update rolling out for the Chinese variants who have shown interest as an EMUI 10.1 beta testers.
EMUI 10.1 was officially announced alongside the Huawei P40 series last month. Moreover, the Huawei P40, P40 Pro, and P40 Pro+ are the company’s first handsets to run on EMUI 10.1 out-of-the-box. EMUI 10.1 is a major upgrade over the EMUI 10.0. It brings several new features and performance improvements to the Android 10 running Huawei phones.
Considering the features, the Android 10-based EMUI 10.1 brings multi-window, multi-device control panel, multi-screen collaboration, Huawei MeeTime (video conferencing app), and Celia. Celia is Huawei’s own Voice Assistant replacing the Google Assistant. One can start using this voice assistant by using the hotword “Hey Celia” or by holding the power button for a second. The EMUI 10.1 for Huawei P30 and P30 Pro is rolling out via OTA and brings the version number v10.1.0.118. Moreover, users are advised to be running on version v10.0.0.221 to get this new update.
The update is currently limited to the China region. You can check the below list for eligible models –
- Huawei P30 – ELE-AL00
- Huawei P30 – ELE-TL00
- Huawei P30 Pro – VOG-AL00/VOG-AL10
- Huawei P30 Pro – VOG-TL00
