After launching Huawei Y3 (2017) last week, the Chinese smartphone giant unveiled another device in the budget price segment dubbed as “Huawei Y7”. The device runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and houses a massive 4000mAh battery. The Huawei Y7 will be made available in Grey, Prestige Gold, and Silver colors variants. No details about the price and availability has been roll out yet.
The hybrid dual-SIM Huawei Y7 features a 5.5-inch HD display (720 x 1280 pixels) with 2.5D curved glass on top. Under the hood, there is an octa-core Snapdragon 435 processor coupled with Adreno 505 GPU and 2GB of RAM. As already said, it runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with company’s latest EMUI 5.1 on top.
For taking pictures, there is a 12-megapixels rear camera with LED flash, PDAF for quick 0.3-second focus and an 8-megapixels front facing camera. Like various entry level devices, it also features a unibody metal design which gives a premium feel. On storage front, it has 16GB of internal memory which can be further expandable up to 128GB with microSD card. It also features a fingerprint scanner on the rear panel.
The Huawei Y7 measures 153.6 x 76.4 x 8.35mm; weighs 165g and includes connectivity features like 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, and GPS / GLONASS. There is a 4000mAh batter that promises up to 20 hours of video back and browsing time of up to 15 hours.
