Chinese smartphone maker Huawei on Thursday launched a new mid-range smartphone in India dubbed as Huawei Y9 2019. It was first introduced back in October 2018. The Huawei Y9 2019 is priced at Rs. 15,990 and will be available exclusively from Amazon India starting January 15th. It comes bundled with free boat Rockerz Sports Bluetooth earphones worth Rs. 2,990.
Going by the design, the phone definitely has premium looks, with a glass and metal back. The Huawei Y9 2019 comes in Sapphire Blue and Midnight Black color options.
Huawei Y9 2019 is a premium looking handset from Huawei offering a 6.5-inch FHD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) notched display, powered by an Octa-Core Kirin 710 SoC, and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.2 on top.
It has a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage with an option to expand via microSD card. On the camera optics, it features a 16MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP secondary camera. There is also a 13MP selfie camera on the front. Both the front and rear camera have AI photography features from Huawei.

The new Y9 comes with Game Assistant 2.0 for optimizing the system resources when gaming. There is also Histen 5.0 audio which brings scene optimization and Party Mode with 5.1 or 7.1 Surround system.
The Huawei Y9 also comes with a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel which can unlock the device in just 0.3 seconds. The device is equipped with a 4,000mAh battery which is said to provide backup for an entire day although with heavy usage. The dimensions of the device include 162.4×77.1×8.05mm and weigh 173g.
