Are you a Huawei Y9s user from Mexico? Then you will be pleased to hear that the stable Android 10-based EMUI 10 update has started hitting your smartphone. Moreover, the Huawei Y9s is not only the smartphone to get the EMUI 10 update but the Chinese telecom giant also rolling out the same update to Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 in Mexico.
The EMUI 10 is a major upgrade over EMUI 9, brings new features like new Magazine-Style UI, Morandi color, Dark Mode, new navigation gestures, new icons, and more. You can check the detailed list of EMUI 10 Features here.
Huawei Y9s EMUI 10 update bumps the firmware version to EMUI 10.0.0.185(C69E3R1P1) and is about 3.77GB in size. As the update is pushed via OTA in a phase-wise manner, users need to wait for a couple of days or even a week for the update notification pops-up on your screen.
Huawei Y9s users can also manually check for updates via Settings > System > Software update > Check for updates > Download and install. There is also an alternate way to request the EMUI 10 update manually i.e. via the HiCare app.
To remind you, Huawei Y9s was announced back in December 2019 running on Android 9 Pie-based EMUI 9 out-of-the-box. The smartphone comes with a massive 6.59-inch display, powered by Kirin 710F SoC, and houses a 4000mAh battery.
The device offers 6GB of RAM, 128GB of onboard storage, and sports triple rear cameras with a 48MP primary shooter. On the front, there is a 16MP pop-up selfie camera.
