Earlier in December 2019, Huawei announced its latest flagship smartphones in the ‘Nova’ series dubbed as Huawei Nova 6 and Huawei Nova 6 5G. Both the devices shares similar kind of specifications and features, except the Balong 5000 5G modem which is limited to the Nova 6 5G. It’s almost a month since its official announcement, Huawei Nova 6 and Nova 6 5G started receiving its first software update.
The latest firmware update for Huawei Nova 6 series brings the Link Turbo feature. To recall, Link Turbo is a new connectivity feature for Huawei and Honor devices announced just last month. The feature made its debut with the Honor V20 series and now the Nova 6 series getting it via update. Honor also promised to roll out the same feature to all other Honor devices in the upcoming updates.
What is Link Turbo?
Leveraging AI and big data technologies, Link Turbo automatically analyzes users’ usage models and network conditions to figure out the best way to deliver an optimal result and switch seamlessly between Wi-Fi or 4G networks to boost downloading speed by simultaneously adopting both networks.
For example, if you’re watching a movie or playing an online game over the Wi-Fi internet and the speed suddenly slows down. With this Link Turbo technology, the device automatically detects this and migrate you to the 4G without you noticing. As said above, it can also combine the Wi-Fi and 4G for much faster download speeds.
